However, some of the best hidden places to see in Spain are, in some ways, even better than the most famous ones.If you are looking for unusual places to visit in Spain, you will love the following list. Whether you head to the wild, lush north or the sun-drenched south, Spain has a lot to offer. Check out some of these amazing and largely tourist places in Spain!
1. Tourist Places In Spain Cabo De Gata Nature Preserve
Vast, unspoilt lands, crystal-clear Mediterranean waters and long sandy beaches: this is what awaits you in the Cabo de Gata nature reserve in southern Spain. In addition to the nature reserve, the coast is full of hidden coves and calm waters with sand dunes and dry desert landscapes. This area is perfect for relaxation or adventure.

Playa de Los Muertos: Located just outside the town of Carboneras, this secluded beach is a 30-minute walk down a steep path and is perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. Albaicín: this neighborhood is located on a hill adjacent to the Alhambra Palace and has a clearly Arab feel. Walking through the Arab bazaars, you may forget that you are still in Europe!

– Almost any hidden place on a small street. Avoid places on main roads that seem to cater to tourists, as they are less authentic. To get back to Grenada’s roots, head to Aum Kulsoom on Jardins Street for a taste of North African cuisine.

Due to the abundance of history this walled city contains, it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. It was originally built by the Moors, but was conquered in the 12th century and is famous for its historic buildings and abstract art.

Did you know that there is a desert in Spain? I didn’t go until I got south to meet Tabernas. This incredible place looks like something out of an old western movie, which is probably due to the fact that many western movies were filmed here.

– Mini Hollywood: If you come with kids, or if you are a kid at heart, don’t miss this amazing theme park! You’ll see an old western town, full of cowboys, and enjoy a water park when the weather gets too warm. Tabernas Fort: Although it is not very well preserved, this fort is very authentic. You’ll also see views of the desert below and the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background.

Tapas are in fashion in this beautiful city. Visit places like Las Eras de Manolo or Los Albardinales to enjoy typical southern Spanish food.

Bridges: The new bridge, the old bridge and the Roman bridge reveal the incredible history of the city of Ronda. Each one crosses the Tajo, a large gorge that divides Ronda into different levels. Start at the top with the new bridge and work your way to the old Roman bridge that crosses the small river below the moat. Arab Palace and Quarry: The palace’s beautifully manicured gardens greet you as you enter, but serve as the pinnacle of a cave deep in the mountain. Climb more than 200 steps to reach the bottom of the Tagus, delving into the ancient mine that was once the city’s only water supply and giving you an incredible view of the abyss below.

Visit the Joyos History Museum to explore the Jewish community that once inhabited the city, or the Girona History Museum to explore the city from Roman times in the 18th century to the present. There is also an art museum with more than 8,500 pieces and a film museum. Benis Arab: These Arab baths are a beautiful testament to the early Muslim influence in Spain and are a great place to relax.
